Long Term Interim Guidance Counselor

Job Description:

  • New York State Certification as a Guidance Counselor.

  • Responsible for all aspects of school counseling for all grades Pre-K to grade 12.

  • Experience in class scheduling preferred.

  • Knowledge of School Tool student management system.

  • Familiarity with College and Career preparation for all students.

  • Knowledge of Social Emotional Learning, emotional regulation, and de-escalation techniques.

  • Experience of collaboration and communication with all stakeholders.

Long Term Interim School Social Worker
(10-month position with summer hours available)

Qualifications:

  • Develops collaborative, team-based approach to implement and evaluate alternative interventions.

  • Assists in developing a positive environment within classrooms and programs to promote positive and cooperative working relationships.

  • Evaluates and re-evaluates short term behavioral and academic objectives on a regular basis throughout the school year for students with on-going behavior plans.

  • Develops and maintain communication with the students’ teachers, school psychologist, parents, school counselors, social workers, and appropriate outside agencies.

  • Attends student support meetings as needed.

  • Develops solution-focused outcomes for social, emotional, behavioral, and academic issues as they arise.

  • Refers as necessary to Mental Health Services outside of the school environment.

  • Maintains files on students; documentation should include time spent and general content of session and progress.

Assists with de-escalation and behavior support as needed.

Substitute School Nurse

Qualifications: Registered Nurse 
Duties:Provide supervision of sick or injured pupils until they are placed under the care of their  parents or legal guardians. Secure medical care for students in emergency cases if parents/guardians or emergency contacts cannot be reached. Administers internal  medicine under written doctor's orders  and written parental permission during the school day. Records pupil visits to the Health Office, including but not limited to filing accident/incident reports as required.  Carries out other duties as assigned. 
Rate: $170.00 per day
