Ski Club at Labrador Mountain is open to any OV student in grades 5-12 who wants to ski OR snowboard. Check out the details! WHEN? Wednesday nights, beginning in January. The ski bus leaves school after regular buses, as soon as a bus is available. We leave Labrador at 8:45 pm to return to school between 9:15-9:30 pm. WHO CAN JOIN? Any OV student in grades 5-12. Friends and family members are also able to purchase a pass through Ski Club but they will need to provide their own transportation and supervision. SMP rules for ineligible students will be followed. TRANSPORTATION: All participating students are required to ride the school bus unless permission is granted by administration to ride with a parent. COST: The student program is $139 for a 1-day season pass, good on every Wednesday that Labrador is open all season. Parents and other adults can also buy a day season pass through our group for $169. The 6-week rental price for skis and snowboards with boots is $142.56. Helmets are required by our Ski Club. They are available at the rental shop for an addition  $51.84 for the 6-week program OR you can bring your own. Meal plans are available although most of our students pack their snacks, dinner, and snacks. Many weeks we purchase a pizza from Sals on the way, and you can contribute to that. There is a charge if you forget your season pass. LESSONS: Lessons start in January, and students get 4 FREE lessons offered during Ski Club days in January. (If you miss a week, you cannot make up a lesson.) DRESS FOR THE WEATHER: Nylon snow/ski pants and a winter jacket work best because snow doesn’t stick. Extra gloves/mittens, hats, and face coverings should come with each student each week. Long scarves and long hair needs to be tucked inside the jacket for safety on the ski lift. Layers work well.
