We are pleased and proud to announce Kolbie's induction into the National Technical Honor Society (N T H S) at a ceremony held recently at D C M O  BOCES.  Kolbie, a student in the Career & Technical Education (C T E) Welding II program, achieved this recognition following a rigorous nomination process. He has maintained a high level of achievement in both his Otselic Valley classes and his welding training, with an excellent attendance record. Kolbie has also demonstrated an outstanding record of employability skills, high achievement in his technical area as judged by his C T E teacher, and he received a variety of positive recommendations. Kolbie’s performance, training, and career path development are all a credit to his family, our school, and the C T E program at BOCES.As described at nths.org, “The National Technical Honor Society is an educational non-profit that exists to honor, recognize, and empower students and teachers in Career & Technical Education. As the honor society for C T E, N T H S serves over 100,000 active members annually in both secondary [high school] and postsecondary [college/trade school] chapters across the country. Since its founding in 1984, nearly 1 million students have become N T H S alumni. N T H S honors the achievements of top C T E students, provides close to $300,000 in scholarships annually, and strives to help connect education and industry to build a highly skilled workforce.” Congratulations, Kolbie.
