Are you an artist of any age who lives in our district? Do you know a local artist? We hope you will consider exhibiting in the first annual District-Wide Art Exhibit. Student and staff artists AND community members are invited to participate in the public art show on June 3 (time to be announced) as part of Otselic Valley’s year-end Art in Education celebration. All kinds of art will be welcome: painting, drawing, fiber art, quilting, weaving, felting, sculpture, pottery, paper art, found art, photography, and more. Surprise us! Submissions for the art show can be dropped off at school from May 20-27. Pieces should arrive ready to display with needed bases for 3-dimensional art, and preferably matted or framed for paper or canvases. Otselic Valley art teacher Miriah Lawrence can help with display materials if needed. (No more than 3 pieces per artist so there's enough display space for all.) Help us celebrate our community’s artistry and creativity, and encourage our students’ emerging artistic talents by showing what's possible. Also stay tuned for more Art in Education end-of-year fun!
