The Otselic Valley Board of Education is changing this year’s meeting schedule by providing two school board meetings during most months in the 2021-2022 school year. The first meeting of each month will be curriculum-based, and will include presentations by instructional staff showing student opportunities and outcomes. Providing ample presentation opportunities means the school board will learn more about a variety of topics including instruction by subject area or grade level instruction, athletics, guidance, etc.The second meeting of each month will be business related, including progress on capital projects, financial statements, treasurer reports, and more. This shift in BOE scheduling is intended to allow:(1) more efficient conduct of district business, and(2) more opportunities for staff to communicate to the school board about their classroom activity and student achievement/opportunities.To view the Board of Education meeting calendar, visit the website calendar on the homepage, or click “View Monthly Calendar” to see dates in a grid version.Board of Education meetings are currently in-person and open to the public unless otherwise indicated due to COVID-19 protocols.Otselic Valley has many reasons to be proud, and it’s a privilege to communicate more about where we are and where we’re going.
