Dear Alumnus, I can see the light! We have made it through one of the hardest years ever! With the pandemic almost behind us and events opening up, we are getting ready for our ANNUAL ALUMNI BANQUET! This year's banquet and meeting are on Saturday, July 10th in the Otselic Valley Central School multi-purpose room. The school's protocol is to have people sign in, and to wear masks and practice social distance, if they are not vaccinated. We will begin at 4:00 pm with the social hour, followed by the buffet dinner at 5:00 pm and the business meeting at 6:00 pm. Since we were unable to meet last year, we will be honoring the classes of 1970 and 1971 (50th year) and the classes of 1995 and 1996 (25th year). During the social hour, punch and appetizers will be served, and some areas of the school will be open for viewing. Lonnie Guernsey of Cincinnatus will once again cater a delicious buffet dinner with dessert. The cost will be $10.00 per pseron. However, the actual cost of the dinner is $16.00. NEW THIS YEAR: All members of the honor classes will be our guests. We will cover the cost of your dinner. You need only pay for anyone who attends with you who is not an honoree. The Alumni Association will make up the differences with past dues, donations, and our 50-50 raffle. There are many ways to support your Alumni Association. They include alumni dues and donations to the alumni awards for our graduates. More details about each award is on the enclosed donation form [SEE ATTACHMENT]. We THANK YOU for supporting these awards; even a small amount helps us support our graduates. Please fill out the enclosed form and send it in with your reservations. Please send your DINNER RESERVATIONS and MONEY to Karen Nauman Wightman, PO Box 335, Norwich, NY 13815 by June 30, 2021. Payment at the door is accepted, but the reservations are necessary, as we have to guarantee a number of dinners. We look forward to seeing you. Please come and catch up with your classmates. Now, more than ever, we need to come together and celebrate! On a final note, if you are interested in becoming more involved with your Alumni Association, we are always looking for new people to join the executive team. New people bring new ideas, and we really need some new alumni to consider becoming an officer. We can definitely train, so don't be shy! Please contact any of the executive team below if interested.
