AFTER THE BELLWhat’s your thing, K-12 Vikings? Mad science? Theatre? Cooking with carbs? Art and movement? Woodworking? Basketball? We’ve got you...after the bell!“After the Bell,” a new after-school program, will launch its first session beginning February 23 through March 25, 2021. Each Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30-4:00 pm, students in these fun sessions will have a chance to explore, play, create, and try cool new things with teachers, while practicing COVID safety protocols.Transportation will be provided, with drop off locations and times to be determined when we know who is participating.Space is limited, and these classes are being filled first come, first served. Thanks to all who returned their forms so quickly, some classes are now full and using waiting lists. All sign up sheets must be turned in to Mrs. Richards no later than February 17, 2021.  Please note that classes vary by age.LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE:Grades 3-6: Drama with Mrs. YoungsGrades 7-12: Drama with Mrs. KalinWAITING LIST ONLY:Grades K-4: Art and Movement with Ms. DeRusso and Ms. AnkenGrades K-2: Mad About Science with Ms. Norton and Mrs. WhorrallGrades 4-7: Cooking with Carbs with Mrs. CantrellGrades 6-8: Basketball with Mr. WentworthGrades 7-12: Woodworking with Ms. ParrottIf this program goes well and there is interest, a second session with new, always fun class offerings will follow later in the school year. We can't wait!AFTER SCHOOL HELP Vikings in grades 3-12 will also be allowed to stay after school to get extra academic help (Tuesdays and Thursdays, after school until 4 pm). NOTE: Students in grades 7-12 who are failing two or more courses should expect to attend After School Help sessions.Transportation will be available on a 4:00 o’clock bus, with drop off locations and times to be determined when we know who is participating.The parent permission form is available online: http://bit.ly/3p7DdC1 Sometimes confusing concepts get sorted when others can help you through it.
