Next Thursday, December 17 we will be hosting a FAFSA workshop for all college-bound seniors and their parents about federal financial aid from 6 PM to 8 PM via Zoom (link to come). Christine Krause, an Assistant Director of Financial Aid at SUNY Morrisville, will be running the workshop. Information will apply to all colleges and universities, not just SUNY Morrisville. To protect everyone’s privacy, private break out rooms will be created so she can help everyone individually. By now, most of the students have met with me to create their FSA ID. Each student will also need a parent to create their own FSA ID. These IDs need to be created prior to the workshop. For the workshop, you will need both student and parent FSA IDs as well as your 2019 federal and state taxes and W2s. How to create a parent account: --Go to https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa --click "Start here" --click "I am a parent"--fill out all of the required information. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to Ms. DeRusso. Thank you, Jamie DeRusso7-12 School CounselorOtselic Valley Central School315-653-7218 Ext: 4010
