November 6, 2020 Dear Parents & Guardians: After careful consideration, Otselic Valley Central School District will reopen in-person learning four days a week to all students beginning November 16, 2020.  This decision comes after the overwhelming number of parent surveys returned indicated the need and want of students to return to school. Students attending in-person instruction will attend Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday with Wednesday being a day for deep cleaning. Wednesday will continue to be a remote learning day from home where students can review lessons and receive additional assistance from teachers online. Transportation for all students is being reconfigured and new pick-up and drop-off times will be forthcoming in the next few days. School breakfast and lunch will be provided to all students attending in-person. For students who decide to remain virtual, meal pick-up will continue as it has in September and October. Families that decide to remain virtual will be asked to sign a virtual consent form committing to ten weeks of virtual learning. A student may begin in-person learning on November 16 and parents or guardians may decide later that the student is to return to virtual learning. Our priority continues to be the safety and education of our students. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. Take care and thank you for entrusting us with the safety of your children. Sincerely, Georgia Gonzalez Superintendent of Schools
