Women in Leadership Attendees

On March 25th, Otselic Valley students Danica Davis and Izzy Neal had the exciting opportunity to attend the 2nd Chenango Women’s Leadership Conference at the Canasawacta Country Club in Norwich, joined by social studies teacher Jenny Osowski. Hosted by Commerce Chenango, the event brought together women leaders to share valuable insights on leadership, financial well-being, and health.

One of the highlights of the day was an inspiring keynote speech from Barbara Schindler, COO of Golden Artist Colors. Participants also took part in discussions on topics like Women in Wealth, Women in Health, and Women in Leadership, gaining a broader understanding of the role women play in today’s world.

Danica and Izzy also attended the breakout session led by Martha Ryan from DCMO BOCES. During the session, they explored their "superpowers" -- the strengths they bring to the table -- and their "kryptonite," or the challenges they might face. It was an informative experience that led to some meaningful conversations about their future career paths and personal growth.

We’re also excited to share that OV Board of Education member Mrs. Juliette Wentworth attended the event and had the chance to connect with our students and teacher!

We couldn’t be prouder of Danica and Izzy for representing Otselic Valley at such an important event. They’ve truly demonstrated a commitment to their personal and professional growth.
