Welcome to Otselic Valley Central School Athletics! We are pleased to welcome student athletes, families, and fans to another year of Viking competition. Remember to check Schedule Galaxy (also see button above right), our online Athletics Game Schedule, for real-time updates.

NEW this year is Family ID (also known as Arbiter Sports, the parent company). Family ID (see button above right) is an online registration platform that makes it easier for families to sign up their students and submit necessary sports registration information. Once registered, you don't have to start over with registration each year; you only provide required updates. The Family ID site also includes all the necessary documents and essential information that should be reviewed by all parents/guardians of student athletes. Family ID is a secure, convenient, online platform that parents and guardians use for their students' sports registration. Instead of having to deal with piles of sports paperwork every year, the system keeps track of your family's basic demographic information (address, contact info, etc.) so you don't have to repeat it every year. Instead, parents/guardians will simply need to update your students' grade levels and upload their physicals for each registration.

IMPORTANT:

• ONLY parents and guardians can set up and update Family ID, not students.

• ONLY parents and guardians can electronically sign off on agreements included on our Family ID page.

• Please be sure to only complete 1 registration per athlete. If you need to make changes to the registration, be sure to EDIT the existing one and do not create a new one.

PRO-TIP: You will see "Arbiter Sports" on some pages and in the email address you can use for support. Arbiter is the parent company of Family ID.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE READY BEFORE YOU REGISTER

• A PHYSICAL EXAM must be current within the last 12 months and signed by a physician. (For example, if a sport starts on 8/22/23, the physical must have been given after 8/22/22.) It is the parent's/guardian's responsibility to submit a paper copy of their child's current physical to school, or it can be uploaded into Family ID (see instructions below).

• Your primary health care provider's name and contact information, and a copy of the recent physical.

• Emergency contact information.

• Health insurance information.

WATCH FOR DEADLINES: Family ID registration must be COMPLETED BY THE TIME REGISTRATION CLOSES (see dates in the table above this section) in order for registration to be processed in time for the start of practice. Registrations received after the deadlines will be processed in the order in which they are received, but late registrations may jeopardize your student's timely clearance to practice and play.

TO USE FAMILY ID, FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

1. Click the Otselic Valley Family ID link, and select the registration form under the word Programs.

2. Next, click on the Register Now button and scroll, if necessary, to the Sign Up/Log In buttons. If this is the first time you're using Family ID, click Sign Up. If you already have a Family ID account, click Log In.

3. Sign Up for your new, secure Family ID account by entering the account owner First and Last names (parent/guardian), email address, and password. Read and select the agreement to the Family ID Terms of Service. Click Sign Up.

4. You will receive an email with a link to activate your new account. If you don't see that email, check your email filters for Spam or Junk.

5. Click on the link in your activation email, which will log you into Family ID.

6. Once you are logged in and at the registration form, complete the info requested. All fields with a red asterisk ( *) are required (you can't leave them blank).

7. Click the Save & Continue button when your form is complete.

8. Review your registration summary.

9. Click the green Submit button. After submission, the registration will be pending approval by the school nurse. Once reviewed and approved, your student athlete may start practices. Please note that review and approval is done during school hours only.

You will receive an email receipt from registrations@familyid.com. You can also view your completed registration in your "Registration" tab. You can log into https://www.familyid.com at any time to update your information and to check your registration(s).
